Detachment

My crimson lips
are safe to touch
hiding in the glow
it is just too much

your flowers you gave
I held too tight
hoping the pieces
would make it all right

the silence is deafening
shrieking in my ear
my courage tucked away
but always kept near

Your raging thought
I do not condone
sink my teeth into
the red delicious unknown.

I really like the way this poem flows. Generally, I hate poems that rhyme, but the way you do it comes with ease. It doesn't feel forced. It creates a poem with an excellent flow. I love the line "the silence is deafening shrieking in my ear." It is a really wonderful image. Great work!
