Word Paint

Our A190 class is here to get our hands all muddy in paint and poems, poems that are inspired by art, art that responds to poetry. We're ecstatic to be here and we'll be ekphrastic all semester long.

Mourning Coat

Black in mourning
Your coat thrown
Over the freshly
Potted
Flowers.

Bright
Vibrant, beautiful.
Your mood covers mine
Like the coat you threw
Over the the recently
Potted
Flowers.

Blue
Orange
Fushia.
Screaming at you.
Get over yourself and
Stop
Throwing your
Mourning coat
Over my newly
Potted
Flowers.
